Welcome back to Term 2! If you managed a break with your children I hope you’ve had a restful, restorative break and are ready for all the action and excitement ahead. Thanks to all our parents who are coaching winter sports and well done to our tamariki (children) for getting stuck in. We will have our senior inter-school games this term, come along and celebrate our football, netball and rugby teams. On some occasions we will have chess teams. Check out the calendar. Please contact Robyn in the office if you need any help booking a Whānau Learning Conference.

Surfing
Surfing? SURFING? YES surfing was an amazing experience for all the year 6’s and will be for the up coming year 6’s. Charles was the surf instructor he told us all the strategies to keep us calm. Thank you all teachers for the experience
Livvie Fale
Surfing is such a good way to let out your frustration. Charles teaches you so many different ways to calm down if you are overwhelmed. When I caught my first wave I was so proud of myself it just felt so special. I would like to thank the school for giving all the year 6's an opportunity to go surfing with Charles.

Getting your first wave is so magical you feel so proud of yourself. I am so glad our school wanted us to do it and even the teachers got on a surfboard and surfed. I wish I could explain how I felt. There is always something to laugh about. There is never a dull moment at surfing. We have learnt so many ways to calm ourselves down. Here is a way to calm down, breathe in for 3 hold for 3, let out for 6. Thank you school for making this happen.
